	While the road traffic density goes up every year and resolving the traffic congestion isn’t something that can be solved overnight, Visakhapatnam based start-up Greenline Labs has come up with a technology that works to make emergency services in India more efficient and effective by reducing delays, thereby help save more lives. The start-up that is presently incubated at Start-up Accelerator India – the joint venture of AP Government and Singapore-based GOVIN Capital – is led by the core team of Sri Vishnu Ayyagari, Sree Charan Aradhyula, Ram Subhash, Santosh Varma, Rohi Joseph and Prasanth Avadhani.

	India: Hospitals to Train Drivers to Handle Medical Emergencies
	Mumbai: To handle medical emergencies like cardiac arrest, two leading hospitals have decided to train auto-rickshaw and bus drivers in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the hospitals said on September 28.\r\nAccording to medical experts, CPR is a procedure that combines chest compressions and artificial ventilation to maintain circulatory flow and oxygenation during cardiac arrest, leading to improved survival and neurological outcomes.

	India: Punjab Tells Health Dept to be ready for Emergency
	Chandigarh: Following an emergency meeting of senior health officials, all civil surgeons in the border districts have been directed by the government to make necessary arrangements to deal with any kind of emergency situation. The health department will set up camps and rope in the staff from the rural development department.\r\nBesides, the district health officials have been asked to keep ready the emergency wards with medicines, stretchers and ambulances. Principal Secretary, Health, Vini Mahajan, confirmed the development.

	Bhubaneswar: Hospitals can\\\'t deny treatment to any emergency patient by considering the patient\\\'s paying capacity. The Odisha assembly on last day of its monsoon session on Thursday passed the Odisha Clinical Establishments (control and regulation) Amendment Bill, 2016, under which any clinical establishment has to extend medical examination and treatment to stabilize the emergency medical condition of any individual brought to them as possible with the staff and facilities available with them.

	Tirupati: In a bid to effectively utilise the ‘Golden Hour’ for saving the lives of victims involved in accidents, be it road, industrial or other types, Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) in Tirupati has proposed to set-up as many as hundred trauma bays or resuscitation bays across Rayalaseema districts.\r\nThe trauma bays will be on the model of Trauma Bay and Emergency Resuscitation Bay set up at SVIMS in August in collaboration with US-based PanAmerican Trauma Society.
