	Nepal: Ministry to Suspend Manipal��s Renewal Operation License as it denied Emergency facility to accident Victim
	Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health has decided to suspend the renewal of an operation license of Pokhara-based Teaching Hospital after it had denied emergency healthcare facilities to the Kagbeni jeep accident victims recently.\r\nA meeting held under the chair of Health Minister Gagan Kumar Thapa on Sunday (30 April) decided to request the Ministry of Education for an action regarding the operation license granted to the hospital.

	Nepal: Ambulance Service Operation Directive issued
	Kathmandu: The government has issued Ambulance Service Operation Directive, 2017 to increase people’s access to ambulance services and make them systematic and dependable.\r\nAny organisation desirous of operating a vehicle as ambulance shall submit an application to the concerned District Ambulance Operation Committee in a prescribed format for licence. Even organisations already operating ambulance services shall have to submit an application within three months from the date of commencement of this directive for the purpose of licence.

	Nepal: Remote Gorkha Relies on Choppers during Emergencies
	Gorkha: Sarita Gurung of Dharche village was rushed to local health center following labour pain. When the health center could not treat her citing lack of expertise and equipment needed to treat her, she was taken to TU Teaching Hospital in the capital on 28 July.The family had to airlift her to Kathmandu as the place she lives in the northern part of the district is not connected to roadways.\r\nOfficials say that though there is budget for providing airfare in cases of critical health emergencies, only few claim it due to lack of awareness.

	Kathmandu: Everest Link Pvt Ltd has announced to launch emergency medical service \'Hello Doctor\' for the trekkers and mountaineers in the Everest region. Issuing a statement, the company said that \'Hello Doctor\' is an online emergency medical service through which trekkers and mountaineers can directly connect with the doctors during emergency situations.
