	Pakistan: Sharjeel Memon launches charity
	Hyderabad: Former Sindh information and local government minister Sharjeel Inam Memon launched Inam Foundation – a charity named after his father – on the occasion of the 64th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.\r\nUnder the charity, a free ambulance service, featuring 17 ambulances, was being launched for rural Hyderabad, said Sharjeel while speaking at the launch of the service on Wednesday (21 June).

	Pakistan: DHQ Hospital starts evening OPD facility to reduce load on Emergency Department
	Khanewal: The DHQ Hospital started evening OPD facility to reduce pressure on the hospital’s emergency ward here on Monday 3 July.\r\nAccording to the hospital management, 4 male and female medical officers will be available from 2:00-8:00 pm. Medicines, X-ray machines, ultrasound and other lab tests will also be available at the hospital during these hours.

	Pakistan: CM Village Ambulance Service Great Project
	Lahore: Provincial Minister for Minorities Affairs and Human Rights Khalil Tahir Sandhu on 18 July said Chief Minister’s Village Ambulance Service in the province would prove a great project.\r\nIn a statement issued here, he said the Punjab government had come up with the Ambulance Service to provide the best healthcare facilities to pregnant women. Now pregnant women could get registered with the programme and could avail a free ambulance service by calling 1034, he said and added initially, the project would be started with 193 ambulances in 36 districts of Punjab.

	Pakistan: 500 Ambulances HandedOver to Rescue-1122
	Lahore: Patient transfer service has been introduced for which more than 500 ambulances of good condition have been handed over to Rescue-1122. This service was started in February 2017 and so far more than 90,000 patients have been shifted from different hospitals.

	Pakistan: YDA Punjab to Resume Work at Emergency Wards
	Lahore: The Young Doctors Association (YDA), Punjab, has managed only partial strike in hospitals of Punjab especially in Lahore on 2 August as it failed to draw a favourable response from majority of young doctors.\r\nThe YDA leadership is gradually losing its writ within young doctors’ community as it reduced itself to only few hospitals, as young doctors in major hospitals of Lahore rejected the strike and continued discharging their duties in emergency, indoor and outdoor wards.
