	India: Trauma Centre at SSL to Become Functional by September
	Varanasi: Banaras Hindu University (BHU) administration had decided to start the trauma centre of Sir SundarLal (SSL) Hospital phase-wise in September. Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS-BHU) director RG Singh said: "We will be starting the trauma centre in phases as soon as the work gets completed by the second or third week of September." In order to save the life of critical patients and reduce the delay in admitting them, the upcoming trauma centre will have a room near the entrance of the building where the patient's condition and the degree of seriousness would be decided.

	India: Training Begins for Quick Mobile Response
	Patna: Bihar government and the JPNAIIMS will form Quick Mobile Response Teams (QMRTs) at all the primary health centres of the state. A 2-day training will be imparted to 5 representatives of each district by the surgery department of JPNAIIMS. "The QMRT will consist of a doctor, a nurse, a paramedical staff and a police officer above the rank of ASI. 	Bangalore: Employees of Arogya Kavacha, the ‘108’ emergency ambulance services, have again absented themselves from work and this time for receiving less salary. The employees, who received their payment on August 12 Monday, have received Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,000 less than their expected salary. When asked, the GVK EMRI (Emergency Management Research Institute) told the employees that their salaries were deducted for the days they had boycotted work during the strike.
