India: Bike Ambulance Facility for Mysuru Soon


Mysuru: After the launch of motorcycle ambulance, it’s now the turn of air ambulance in the State, particularly in Bengaluru, so that medical aid reaches patients quickly.Minister for Health and Family Welfare UT Khader on May 03 saidthree companies have expressed interest to launch and operate air ambulance services. Speaking to presspersons here, the Minister said discussions were being held with companies on launching the services in places like Bengaluru where road traffic congestion is a routine affair.

India: CM\'s Santhwana Scheme for Poly Trauma Victims


Mysuru: Addressing media persons, at the office of the district health and family welfare officer, Khader said, “The scheme ‘Chief Minister’s Santhwana Yojane’ will extend financial aid up to Rs 25,000 for the victims of poly trauma cases for the first 48 hours of treatment. However, the proposal is awaiting the clearance of the finance department”.Khader said, the scheme has been devised to help the victims of such cases, whom the hospitals refuse to admit for various reasons. Be it a local or a stranger, the aid is expected to cover the needy people.

India: Accident Relief System to Start on May 9


Ranchi: The state police will introduce Accident Relief and Medical Assistance (ARMA) service in Ranchi on May 9 to ensure that accident victims don\'t have to travel to hospitals in autos and goods transport vehicle. A command centre is also being established at Medical hospital which will take care of the victims through a fleet of eight ambulances deployed in different parts of Ranchi.

India: BLK Super Speciality Hospital Inks Collaboration Pact with Uzbekistan Govt


The Delhi-based BLK Super Speciality Hospital has signed an MoU with Republican Research Center of Emergency Medicine (RRCEM), an Association of Emergency Physicians at Uzbekistan, to establish cultural, educational, scientific and medical cooperation in various spheres on the basis of equality and mutual benefit. RRCEM is the biggest emergency care provider in Uzbekistan. Among others, this should pave way for development of joint international projects and research.The MoU was signed by BLK Super Speciality Hospital Director Naresh Kapoor and Dr A M Khadjibayev from RRCEM.

India: General Hospital, Kochi to Get New Blocks for Cardiology, Trauma care


Full-fledged superspecialty services in cardiology and trauma care will soon become a reality at the District General Hospital with the inauguration of construction work to house the Cathlab facilities.The hospital had been running OP services in cardiology for the past six months without any other facility or emergency care. The General Hospital will also have a new facility termed Bhumika to deal with problems of women and children who had met with abuse. Besides, the ongoing palliative care would also get a new building, the construction for which is to begin on May 07.
