India: Mock Drill conducted at NTPC on Emergency Preparedness


Surat: A mock drill on ‘Emergency Preparedness’ was conducted on Wednesday at NTPC Ltd’s Kawas Gas Power Project at Hazira in association with the Director Industrial Safety & Health (DISH), Government of Gujarat.  Offsite disaster plan was activated under the supervision of Surat district collector Dr Dhavalkumar Patel and others.

India: TCS Keen to Join Hands with Govt for Emergency Services to Accident Victims, Organ Harvesting: Gadkari


Tata Group arm TCS is keen to join hands with the government in an initiative to harvest organs from road crash victims as well as facilitate emergency services for the injured using helicopters, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said on 23 April.

India: Motorcycle Ambulance Launched in Kandhamal, Odisha


Phulbani: In a bid to provide emergency health services in remote areas, bike ambulance service was introduced in Kandhamal district on 21 April (Saturday). Inaugurating the service, Collector Brunda D said the bike ambulance will cover remote areas and ferry patients to the nearest hospital or health centre. On the occasion, 3 two-wheeler ambulances were dedicated to the people living in remotest and inaccessible parts of the district. In the first phase, the three bike ambulances will provide service to people of Phringia, Daringbadi and Balliguda blocks.

Tamenglong, Manipur: Commanding Officer of 23 Assam Rifles, Tamenglong Chinmaya Verma launched an ambitious ambulance project for the downtrodden citizens of Tousem Sub-division of Tamenglong district on 21 April at Shekinuh Inn, Tamenglong HQs.\r\nThis is a voluntary project initiated by a non-profit voluntary organization called Society for Enhancing Tamenglong (SET) with an understanding with the Tousem Area Students\' Organization (TASO).

India: Mumbai Gets Free 24Ąż7 Bike Ambulance Service to Tackle Medical Emergencies amid Heavy Traffic


In a bid to deal with medical emergencies amid heavy traffic, Mumbai-based Lodha Foundation has introduced a free 24×7 bike ambulance service, equipped with a first-aid kit and oxygen cylinder, in the city.\r\nThe charitable trust launched the free bike ambulance service on 29 April for swift movement through Mumbai’s traffic in case of an emergency.
