India: Emergency Medical Care for Child Abuse Victims - Haryana


Chandigarh: The Haryana government has decided to provide emergency medical care to victims of child abuse by implementing the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO) Act-2012 effectively. A government spokesman said emergency medical care will be provided to such victims in such a manner that the privacy of the child is guarded. Chandigarh: The flash strike by workers of Emergency ambulance service 108 on June 24 Monday may have been resolved for the time-being but the issues raised by the employees continue to linger on. India: GVK EMRI Signs MoU with Rajasthan Gov. to Run "108 Emergency Response Service"


Jaipur: With one of the greatest sense of moral responsibility the noble movement called "Saving Life", GVK EMRl has signed MoU to run the "108 Emergency Response Service" on 23rd May, 2013 in Jaipur under Public-Private Partnership with the Government of Rajasthan. Having started operation with barely 15 ambulances in Andhra Pradesh, GVK EMRI now will be operating in 13 states and 2 Union territories including Rajasthan covering 70 crore population of the country. India: New Delhi Police Vehicles to be Casualty Ready


The Delhi Police are planning to install stretchers in over 800 patrolling vans that they are going to procure in a month. The back seat of the vehicles will be converted into a stretcher so that victims can be shifted to hospitals easily. “We are the first one to reach to the spot and we cannot wait for the ambulance to take the victim to a hospital. It is a matter of life and death. The current PCR vans don’t have space for an accident victim to lie down before being shifted to a hospital,” said a senior police officer.

India: Odisha CM Launched 108 Emergency Ambulance Service in Dhenkanal


Dhenkanal: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik June 27 launched 108 Emergency Service ambulance under the Oidsha Emergency Medical Ambulance Service (OEMAS) Project. Mr. Pattnaik dedicated 9 nos of ambulance for the people of Dhenkanal district.  Mr. Pattnaik also laid foundation stone for the construction of 300 bedded district hospital in Dhenkanal.  The state-wide modern emergency ambulance service was launched in Dhenkanal in collaboration with  Mumbai based Ziqitza Health Care Ltd.  Earlier this emergency service was launched in Khurda, Koraput, Ganjam, Cuttack , Jajpur , Puri, Rayagada and Bhadrak .
