	A few years ago, my cousin passed away in Gwadar. His wife had to transport his body from Gwadar to Karachi in a Toyota Hiace because she could not get hold of an ambulance. 	Pakistan: Malik Riaz Donates 10 Ambulances to Edhi Foundation
	Lahore: Chairman of the Bahria Town Malik Riaz donated 10 ambulances to the Edhi Foundation while speaking in a TV show on November 29. Faisal Edhi the son of legendary social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi was guest in the show as he told that donations to the organisation had gone down ever since the death of Abdul Sattar Edhi.\r\nFaisal Edhi said that their organisation was facing difficulty but still they would never give up on the mission.

	Pakistan: Rescue Mohfaiz Programme launched
	The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) has formally launched Rescue Mohfaiz Programme in a bid to establish Community Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) to enhance emergency preparedness, response and prevention for achieving the goal of healthy, safe and prosperous communities in all union councils of Punjab. Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer said where the government is doing everything in its jurisdiction to minimise the accidents, there is a public responsibility too to join hands with Rescue 1122 and work for reduction of emergencies.

	Pakistan: A Walk for a Cause: Ambulance Ko Raasta Dey Dou Baba
	Karachi: Various reputable corporate, government and non-government organisations have joined hands for supporting a walk, organised by \'Yes We Do Care\' (YWDC), a non-profit organisation, in its endeavour to create awareness about giving RIGHT OF WAY to ambulances and other lifesaving vehicles that often get stuck up in traffic jams, and at times cost precious human lives.\r\n \r\nNajia Khan, Founder and President of YWDC, took this commendable initiative by giving this thought provoking call to our society to respond.

	Pakistan: LGH Short of Treatment Facilities for New-borns
	Lahore: Shortage of beds, staff and equipment at the nursery wards of the Lahore General Hospital (LGH) are hampering proper treatment of neonates, it has been learnt reliably.\r\n \r\nSource told Daily Times that the 1,000-bed LGH had capacity to cater 60 neonates only whereas bed occupancy rate is 100 percent. They said that the health facility has eight cots while the number of hospitalised babies in nursery ward remains more than 35.
