United Arab Emirates: Disaster Handbook, ˇ°Your Guide to Emergenciesˇ±, Launched by UAE Authority


Abu Dhabi: The UAE’s disaster planning authority has published a guidebook on what to do in emergencies. The book, ‘Your Guide to Emergencies’, is available in English and Arabicon the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority’s website.\r\nThe guide is aimed for the general public and key Government agencies.\r\nFederal law requires organisations and businesses to plan for emergencies, including making risk assessments, training, drills and reviews.

United Arab Emirates: Earthquake Training Held in Dubai

Abu Dhabi: The National Ambulance Company (NAC) recently discussed the strategic plan 2015-2020, which included development, modernization, and opportunities for improvement in order to enhance customer satisfaction. The methods addressed in the strategic plan all contribute to the reduction of response times in accordance with the government\'s vision.During its meeting headed by Mohammed Ibrahim Al Ameri, the Chairman of the Board, the NAC discussed the services of pre-hospital care that meet customers\' needs, in addition to the provision of medical and health care for the injured and sick before reaching the hospital

United Arab Emirates: Mohammed Issues Law on Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services


In his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, has issued Law No (12) of 2015 on Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services.The new law defined the objectives of Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services to include enhancing and developing ambulance services in Dubai in compliance with the approved strategic plan and best international practices, to promptly respond to emergency situations, efficiently take part in crises management, encouraging continuous educational and training programmes for ambulance workers.
