Pakistan: Free Emergency Services to be launched in Azad Jammu & Kashmir


Muzaffarabad: All arrangements have been finalised to launch Free Emergency Services in all ten district headquarters hospitals in the state.\r\nPrime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan would inaugurate the service Tuesday (2 May). Under this program, free of cost medicines would be provided to the patients while experienced doctors and paramedics have been appointed in the emergency units throughout the state.

Pakistan: MCI to Upgrade Emergency and Disaster Management Directorate


Islamabad: Fire-fighters and rescue workers of Emergency and Disaster Management Directorate of the Municipal Corporation of Islamabad (MCI) on 4 May demonstrated their professional abilities during the mock drill in connection with the International Fire-fighters here at Jinnah Convention Centre.\r\nDeputy Mayor MCI, Syed Zeshaan Naqvi appreciated the professional skills of fire-fighters and rescue workers and distributed certificates among the participants. Ten seconds silence was also observed in connection with the International Fire-fighters day.

Pakistan: 1122 to Organize Security GuardsĄŻ Training


Sialkot: Punjab Emergency Services, Rescue 1122 is going to organize 7-day training workshops for 70 security guards of Technical Educational and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), a press release said on Monday (8 May).\r\nExperts of Rescue 1122 would provide training to security guards about fire-fighting, basic medical aide, etc. The experts would also provide training the security guards as how to help out people during road accidents and other emergencies.

Pakistan: Pakistani policemen get Medical Emergency Training from US


More than 24 Pakistani police officers graduated a six-week medical emergency training course last week. Eight officers are also completing a two-week Master Trainer medical course.\r\nHeld at the Jakarta Center for Law Enforcement Cooperation in Indonesia, the training taught life-saving medical skills to police officers who are often the first responders at scenes of emergencies and accidents.

Pakistan: New Ambulance Service Launched for Mothers-to-be in Punjab


Punjab Health Department has come up with the Chief Minister’s Village Ambulance Service for the women who face difficulties in getting to the hospital during maternity. According to details, pregnant women can get registered with the programme and can avail a free ambulance service by calling 1034.\r\nOver the years, many incidents of women giving birth outside hospitals or on their way to hospitals have come to light. The women involved in these incidents are usually from far-flung areas that do not have access to hospitals that provide adequate birth facilities.
