Malaysia: Health Ministry to Probe late, Ill-Equipped Ambulances


Kuala Lumpur: The Health Ministry believes recent cases where ambulances responded late or were ill-equipped, leading to two men dying, were “isolated cases” but say they warrant further investigation.\r\nThis comes after a viral post of an account claiming that a man in Subang Jaya died after an ambulance took 35-minutes to arrive, following an emergency call where he complained of chest pains and breathing difficulties.

Malaysia: JPJ Continues Action against Emergency Lane Abusers


The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will be ramping up enforcement against emergency lane abusers, according to a report in The Sun. The department is also continuing its zero tolerance policy against queue jumpers in heavy traffic, said JPJ enforcement director Datuk Valluvan Veloo.\r\n“We are also welcoming public feedback. Malaysia: Joint Emergency Drill Involves Simulated Road Accident and Chemical Waste Spill


Kuching: Sdn Bhd together with Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) jointly conducted an emergency drill that involved a simulated road accident and chemical waste spill at Samajaya Free Industrial Zone. Malaysia: HSA Emergency and Trauma Department Temporarily Closed


The services and operation of the Sultanah Aminah Hospital\'s (HSA) Emergency and Trauma Department have been temporarily suspended from October 28. The department, which is part of the hospital\'s main building, was ordered to be temporarily closed in stages from October 27.\r\n\"The Emergency and Trauma Department of Sultanah Aminah Hospital is closed until notified. If there is an emergency, please go to the nearest government hospital or clinic,\" said a notice posted in front of the department.

Malaysia: Emergency Drill at the Sandakan Airport
