	India: Royapettah Govt. Hospital to Get Zero-Delay Trauma Ward
	Chennai: The Government Royapettah Hospital (GRH) will soon have a zero-delay ward to treat trauma victims. This will bring the hospital on a par with the three tertiary-care centers in the city. At present, doctors at the hospital refer seriously injured trauma-care patients to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital.GRH superintendent N. Gunasegaram said the hospital would develop a 21-bed ward for the purpose. A plan is being drawn up now. On September 30 Monday, health minister K.C. 	Chennai: Every 30-minute delay in treatment of a person with heart attack doubles chances of death. To bridge this lapse, the medical fraternity has tied up with the state government to bring in a system wherein doctors can monitor patients even as they are brought to hospitals in ambulances. The project involves transmitting the ECG reports of patients in ambulances real time to a doctor at the nearest hospital. 	India: Kerala State invites Short Tenders for 108 Ambulance Service
	Thiruvananthapuram: The state health department has invited short tenders for operating the 108 ambulance service for six months in Alappuzha and Thiruvananthapuram. The fresh tender notice said: "Those agencies, which, in the last five years, have operated for minimum two years an emergency ambulance service of any state government, either covering the entire state or a part of the state, with a fleet of at least 25 ambulances supported by a control room, are eligible to apply." 	India: GVK-EMRI Signs MoU with AAFP
	Hyderabad: The GVK-EMRI, which operates the ‘108’ emergency services, has signed an MoU with American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) for conducting certification training programmes in Basic Life Support in Obstetrics (BLSO) and Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) for the first time in India. Dr GV RamanaRao, head, Emergency Medicine Learning Centre, said at the GVK-EMRI office at Kompally here on Tuesday that GVK-EMRI was licensed by AAFP to conduct ALSO certification programmes for doctors and other healthcare providers in India. 	India: PC George Ready to Takeover 108 Ambulance
	Thiruvananpuram: Chief Whip PC George gave a letter to Health Minister VS Siva Kumar stating that he is willing to take over the service of 108 Ambulance in the state. The Kerala Medical Services Corporation invited a new tender on October 2. When the tender proceedings were progressing, the letter citing his willingness to take over the service was submitted. An investigation is being conducted on the allegations regarding the services.
