Pakistan: Princely Jets Launches Air Ambulance


Pakistan’s largest private jet service provider Princely Jets has launched Pakistan’s first-ever private air ambulance service in the country. Most advanced helicopters are being used for this air ambulance service with highly trained paramedics on board. The helicopters are equipped with technology advanced life support equipment while the medical staff on board is trained to provide emergency treatment of burns, cardiac, respiratory problems, trauma and other emergencies.

Pakistan: KMC to Install Surveillance System on Mehran Highway, will Support Emergency Response


Administrator Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi will support setting up of emergency response centres and installation of video surveillance cameras on Mehran Highway and other important roads. Zaidi said that through this most part of the city could be linked with Central Command and Control System. He said this during a meeting with the delegation of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) which under supervision of Tomishige called on Administrator Karachi in his office. What started as a social form of communication has now become the latest trend to assist doctors in prescribing immediate treatments for their cardiac patients – through text and multimedia messages of ECGs and patients’ heart and breath sounds via mobile phones and the cardiology department of Indus Hospital has become the first hospital in Pakistan to launch the e-cardiology system. Pakistan: Dealing with Disasters: Locals Call for Awareness to Reduce Losses in the Face of Calamities


"During the July 2010 floods, lack of awareness and poor risk management increased our losses by many folds. Pakistan: Journalists Given First Aid Training by PRCS


Karachi: Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Sindh Branch organised First Aid Training for Journalists at Karachi Press Club (KPC) on the occasion of celebrating 150 years of World Red Cross Movement. The training was attended by more than 100 journalists including cameramen, health and crime reporters and office bearers of Karachi Press Club, where they were taught how to save lives in emergency situations.
