	Qatar: Dual Roof-top Helipad at HGH to Speed up Emergency Cases
	Doha: A dual rooftop helipad at Hamad General Hospital (HGH)’s new surgical unit will facilitate patients brought by the air ambulances to reach operation theatre room within a fraction of the time taken previously, said a senior official.\r\nAt present it takes around 20 minutes for the patient to reach the operation theatre or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) from the helicopter and it will be reduced to three minutes once the new facility is operational soon, said Ali Darwish, Assistant Executive Director of the Ambulance Service, HMC.

	Doha: The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) on September 26 signed a framework agreement with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) to consolidate their partnership and strengthen co-operation for securing emergency health assistance for the crisis-affected populations in Iraq.\r\nQRCS Executive Director Fahad Mohamed al-Naimi, represented by head of QRCS’s delegation Ahmed al-Qahtani, and IOM’s Thomas Lothar Weiss signed the agreement.

	An effective ambulance service constitutes much more than an immediate response to eventualities such as road accidents and a patient transportation system, according to a senior official of the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) Ambulance Service.\r\nDr Nick Castle, assistant executive director and head of Professions at the HMC Ambulance Service, made the observation during a presentation at the Qatar Transport Safety Forum, held in Doha recently.

	Doha: Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) Ambulance Service is currently testing an international FM radio over-broadcast system which will allow ambulance crews to alert surrounding drivers of their approach.\r\nThe new system, Radiolert Mobile FM80, is an internationally used software that enables ambulance crews to send a message to cars up to 200m ahead.

	Qatar: HMC Officially Opens Sealine Medical Clinic
	Doha: Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) officially opened its Sealine Medical Clinic, in the Sealine area. This is the eighth consecutive year that the healthcare organisation is operating the clinic, which began receiving patients last weekend.\r\nAl-Khater, who is also project manager for the Sealine Medical Clinic, said emergency medical services, are available for residents during the busy camping season.
