India: More Trauma Centres on the Cards in the Districts with High Rates of Road Accident in UP


Lucknow: The state government is planning to set up more trauma care centres in the districts with the highest casualty rates in road mishap cases as many of these deaths take place due to lack of timely medical attention. India: Govt Paramedics to Stand in for Striking '108' Workers


Bangalore: The State government will provide back-up support to GVK-Emergency Medical Research Institute (EMRI), which runs Arogya Kavacha (108 ambulance service), to ensure medical services are not disrupted by the workers’ strike.  The Health and Family Welfare Department has asked GVK-EMRI to use the services of government paramedical staff and ensure the ambulance service is no disrupted. For this purpose, GVK-EMRI would have to coordinate with the respective deputy commissioners, district health and family welfare officers and surgeons.

India: Govt Prohibits Ambulance Staff Strike; Employees Continue Strike


Bangalore: The state government on August 2 Friday banned the protest of Arogya Kavacha (108 ambulance) staff who have been away from work since July 26. More than 2,500 employees of GVK EMRI are demanding a salary hike and regularization of service.
