Oman: Duqm Development Company, Starcare Hospital Ink Pact for OMR7m in Duqm


Muscat: Duqm Development Company (DDC), the developer of Duqm Frontier Town (DFT), and Starcare Hospital, Oman's fast growing quality healthcare provider, have signed an agreement to establish a multi-specialty, state-of-art hospital at Duqm.  The development cost of the project is estimated at around OMR7 million and it will provide a number of job opportunities for Omanis. Oman: PACDA Deploys Rescue Vehicle on Highways during Rush Hours


Muscat: The Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances (PACDA) has deployed its rescue vehicles and ambulances on major highways during rush hours since last month.Speaking to Muscat Daily, Ahmed Abdullah al Hosni, public relations official, PACDA said, “The step has been taken to cut down on time taken to reach accident sites during rush hours.” Hosni said these vehicles are available on the highways from 6 to 8 am and 1 to 3 pm from Sunday to Wednesday. Muscat: Badr al Samaa healthcare group opened its 9th branch in Oman in Falaj al Qabail in Batinah region. Oman: Second Workshop Held on SOP for Tsunami Early Warning System


Muscat: The Directorate General of Meteorology and Air Navigation/ Public Authority for Civil Aviation of Oman (DGMAN/PACA) in collaboration with IOC UNESCO held the second SOP Workshop recently. The 2nd SOP Workshop was attended by 43 participants involved in the National Multi-Hazards Early Warning System (NMHEWS) that Oman is developing. The workshop was officially opened under the auspices of Abdul Rahim al Harmi, the Chairman of National Steering Committee of NMHEWS and Tsunami National Contact of IOTWS for the Sultanate of Oman.
