	New Delh: Government has decided to outsource the operation and maintenance of its CATS ambulance services and Control Room in order to offer prompt and effective services, reducing the response time further. \r\nThe Health department has floated an expression of interest on Jan 9 which says, \"The Centralised Accident and Trauma Services (CATS), an autonomous body of Delhi government, invites expression of interest from eligible bidders to shortlist them for issue of a request for proposal (RFP) for the further bidding process for selection of bidder for operation and maintenance of CATS ambulance services and Control Room.\"

	India: BPL Patients in Bhopal May Soon Get Free Air Ambulance Services
	Extremely critical patients under treatment at government hospitals, in urgent need of treatment at super-specialty hospitals outside Madhya Pradesh, would soon get free-of-cost air ambulance facility.\r\nAccording to sources, the scheme would be restricted only to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) patients who are getting treatment under State Illness Fund in government hospitals. If the concerned doctor thinks that the patient needs treatment at some other institution, the doctor could refer the patient to a senior doctor or other senior member at the medical college level.

	India: Centre Vows AIIMS like Institutes for Jharkhand
	Ranchi: Union health minister J.P. Nadda has assured chief minister Raghubar Das that the Centre would help the state set up an All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Deoghar, besides 11 trauma centres to deal with cases of accidents.\r\n“The Union minister has given positive assurance on the proposed AIIMS project and on setting up 11 trauma centres across Jharkhand,” state resident commissioner in Delhi D. K. Tiwari told The Telegraph over phone after Das met Nadda and other Union ministers in Delhi on 29 January.
