Pakistan: PIMS Emergency Unit Expanded


Islamabad: A 20-bed emergency unit was inaugurated at the Shaheed Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto (SZAB) Medical University, PIMS, here on April 07 Monday, thereby enabling the health facility to overcome constraints like limited space in the emergency unit, smaller number of beds, over-crowding, and difficulties in smooth treatment of patients. The inauguration was performed by Minister of State for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination (NHSRC) Saira Afzal Tarar, along with Senator Osman Saifullah.

Pakistan: Rescue 15 Gets 98 ATS Vehicles for Effective Output


Islamabad: Islamabad Police have taken several steps to improve the services of Rescue 15 through deputing 98 personnel of Anti-terror squad (ATS) and providing seven vehicles, 12 motorbikes and one ambulance. AIG (Operations) Sultan Azam Temuri has said that quick response unit has been set up at Rescue 15 which would attend the emergency call and provide immediate assistance to the people.  He said that approach time by personnel of Rescue 15 would be five to seven minutes and police officials would reach the scene to provide help to the citizens. Pakistan: Rescue 1122, AFSA Sign MoU for Cooperation


Lahore: A memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed between Rescue 1122, Pakistan, and Asian Fire Service Association (AFSA), United Kingdom, for building upon the existing spirit and cooperation between the 2 organizations. According to spokesperson of Rescue 1122 on April 13 Sunday, the MOU was signed by DG Punjab Emergency Services, Dr Rizwan Naseer and Executive Member of AFSA Mehrban Sadiq.
