	Kathmandu: A 10-day training on corpse management in disaster situations began in the Capital on September 17. 	Nepal: Technical Glitch Shuts Manipal Emergency Services
	Pokhara: Manipal Teaching Hospital in Pokhara on September 26 closed its emergency services citing technical problem in the hospital’s computer server. Chief of the Administration Department Dr Anirban Bakchi said, “The hospital is unable to provide bills of admitted patients and those getting discharged due to server failure. Due to this glitch, we have also been unable to provide medicine to patients.” Hence, the hospital had no option but to halt services until the problem is fixed. Dr Bakchi said the server problem occurred suddenly , due to which they have not been able to see the records of the patients.

	Nepal: Use of Indian Ambulances on Rise
	Parsa: Ambulances with Indian number plates are operating in the district unchecked, it has come to light. Sources said that around two dozen ambulances bearing Indian number plates are operating and that they are charging people exorbitant fees. Chairman of local Youth Society, Kamal Chaugai said that failure of concerned authorities such as the Traffic Police Office and the Department of Transport Management to stop such ambulances from plying in Nepal has made the matter worse.

	Nepal: 297 Children Killed in Various Accidents between Jan-Nov
	Kathmandu: Altogether 297 children were killed and 147 injured various accidents since January to November this year across the country. Figures compiled by the child rights group Child Workers in Nepal Concerned Center (CWIN) show most of the casualties were the result of road accidents followed by drowning. Of the total fatalities, 110 children were killed in road accidents and 103 died by drowning. Likewise, 22 children died of serious burn injuries whereas 17 were killed after falling off trees and roofs.
