	United Arab Emirates: Health Group Introduces Emergency First Aid to Students
	Dubai: The Aster Group, a premium healthcare group based in Dubai, organised its first “Aster Scouts” session at Aster IVF and Women Clinic, Dubai last 22 February, aimed at educating school students about the basics of emergency first aid care.\r\nThis particular session, being the first of many to come, was attended by 22 students, from grades 7 to 9, from the Gulf Indian School, Dubai. The students took part in the interactive training sessions, demonstrative safety measures and an open quiz conducted by Certified First Aid Training Instructor at Aster Hospital Mankhool, Roshlal.

	United Arab Emirates: Smart Ambulance Launched in Dubai
	Dubai: The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS) has launched a special ambulance equipped with a smart stretcher to carry overweight patients.\r\nThe stretcher, made in the US, can be operated with the click of a button, Khalifa Bin Drai, executive director of DCAS said. A hydraulic system allows paramedics to manipulate it to suit a patient’s body structure.

	United Arab Emirates: Dubai Unveils Novel Ambulances
	Dubai: The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services has unveiled 3 new ambulatory vehicles which are the first of their kind in the Middle East. This took place at the Dubai International Ambulance Conference (DIAC) which kicked off on March 21-23 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.\r\nThe car will handle cases of drowning. It will be used to provide first aid to the injured, before they are taken to an ambulance for transfer to a hospital.

	United Arab Emirates: Dubai��s Ambulance Services Have Reduced Response Time to 4 Minutes in 20% of the Cases
	Dubai: One in 5 ambulance responses by the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS) is now done in 4 minutes, down from the average of 8 minutes.\r\nDubai’s ambulance services have managed to cut down their response time by half for 20 per cent of the cases they handled in 2015. The reduction in response time is part of Dubai’s vision and target for 2020.

	United Arab Emirates: Flying in Assistance: Getting Ambulances for Mosul
	With more than 270,000 people already displaced from Mosul and another 600,000 estimated to still remain within the city, the need for emergency medical care continues to increase.\r\nAfter a request from the Iraqi Ministry of Health, the World Health Organization (WHO) had 30 specially equipped ambulances procured in Dubai. With the support of the Logistics Cluster and through a WFP Aviation contracted-aircraft, the first 15 vehicles were airlifted into Erbil International Airport on 20 March.
