India: Ambulance for medically unfit voters in MP, mobile app to trace polling booth


Indore: Perhaps for first time, ambulances are being pressed into service to help and cart the unwell to the booth for voting.  A city-based organisation Code Blue Emergency Services has arranged ambulance with adequate medical equipment including ventilator, monitor, medicine etc. fitted on it to carry patients to the polling station. Along with this, the ambulance will also have two doctors and nursing staff. The service of ambulance will be available free-of-cost for eligible voters who want to cast vote despite suffering from medical problem.

A first of its kind 24 X 7 PAN India Emergency Assist Helpline dedicated to providing emergency assistance, One Touch Emergency Response (OTER), has been announced. India: Shield Good Samaritans to Check Road Accident Deaths, Says Apex Court


New Delhi: The Supreme Court has directed the Centre and states to evolve ways to enact a supportive legal framework to encourage 'good Samaritans’ in a bid to reduce road accident deaths in the country which on an average stands at 1.5 lakh every year. The court was of the view that most bystanders and witnesses to an accident hesitate to help victims for fear of being harassed in hospitals, police stations and courts where they are repeatedly summoned. India: ZHL Starts FRP Programs in Odisha to Empower Denizens to Act as a First Responder during Medical Emergencies


Bhubaneswar: Dial 108 for  Ambulance First Responders has set aim to empower all Indians to act as a first responder in the event of medical emergencies by providing them with training in First Aid and Basic Life Support techniques.  Ziqitza Health Care Ltd. India: A New Trauma Care Centre on Pune-Mumbai E-way to Become Functional by July


Here is some good news for motorists using the Mumbai-Pune Exressway. If things go per the plan, a trauma care centre built by the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRDC) will become operational at Ozarde village near Talegaon on E-way by July. After the centre becomes operational, accident victims on the Expressway could get faster access to medical aid and an option to be air-lifted to the nearest hospital.  The trauma care centre will also provide an air-ambulance or helicopter service to shift accident victims to nearest hospital.
