	Hong Kong: Hospital Fee Waiver eased
	The Hospital Authority is relaxing the application criteria for its fee-waiving mechanism, with public hospital charges set to climb on June 18. Fees set to jump include for the accident and emergency service, which rises 80 percent, from HK$100 to HK$180.\r\nCharges are waived for Comprehensive Social Security Assistance recipients who only have to show a fee waiver issued by the Social Welfare Department. From June 18, the authority will roll out measures to improve the fee-waiving mechanism, including relaxed asset limits for eligible applicants, which will be about 40 percent higher.

	Hong Kong: Hong Kong Airport Holds Annual Aircraft Crash Drill
	Hong Kong: Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) conducted its annual aircraft crash and rescue exercise on Wednesday (8 November) morning to test its readiness and effectiveness in handling contingencies.\r\nIn the simulated scenario, 15 fire appliances and 16 ambulances were deployed to the scene. A total of 3 deaths and 80 injuries were reported. Injured passengers and crew members were rescued and conveyed to six hospitals by ambulance or other vehicles. The exercise stood down at 6:30 a.m. (Hong Kong time).

	Hong Kong: A&E Services Hours to be Extended at Tin Shui Wai Hospital
	Tin Shui Wai Hospital said today, 19 March, its Accident and Emergency services will be extended to 12 hours per day, from 8am to 8pm, with effect from this 21 March to cater to community needs.\"We will closely monitor the operation of the TSWH A&E services. The hospital is now working on the manpower and resources deployment in order to accomplish the goal of introducing 24-hour A&E services in November 2018,” Deacons Yeung, the hospital chief executive said.

	India: Haryana to Upgrade Fleet of Ambulances
	To strengthen emergency response system in the state, the Haryana government will soon be adding 111 more ambulances to the existing fleet. Haryana 'Swasthya Vaahan Sewa' number 102 will also be upgraded, as the process to set up single call centre for ambulances all over the state has been started. 21 new Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances and 90 new Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances will be added to the fleet, an official spokesman said here today. ...more

	India: More Districts of Madurai to Have Neonatal Ambulance Service
	MADURAI: After the successful induction of an exclusive 108 ambulance service for neonatal car in Madurai district, similar services are set to be introduced in all the southern districts. The ambulance, which was inducted in the fleet in October 2012, has served as many as 192 infants, less than 28 days old. Incidentally, all the 192 infants who were carried in the vehicle for the specialty service have been saved and there was no loss of life, sources said.
