	Banke: The Bheri Zonal Hospital is facing difficulties to provide maternity care to women admitted to the maternity ward due to a lack of sufficient beds. Doctors in the hospital said 6 post-natal women are being treated on the corridor of the ward after all the 32 beds in the ward are occupied.The doctors said some women, who gave birth through surgical processes, have suffered infections as they are kept on the floor where attendants and visitors walk. 	Nepal: Ambulances without Facilities Operating in Panchthar
	Phidim: Ambulances are needed to aid critical patients so that they can be provided basic facilities till they reach the hospital. But sadly, ambulances in Panchthar district lack even first-aid facility. The Ambulance Operation Act 2060 says vehicles carrying patients should be equipped with basic treatment facilities. There are 12 ambulances operating in the district that belong to 10 health facilities, but not a single ambulance is equipped with the mandatory facilities, stakeholders said. 	Nepal: Snakebite Patients Increasing? Anti-Venom Stock Running Out
	Taulihawa: Snakebite cases have increased in Kapilvastu.As per district hospital data, a total of 103 snakebite patients have been treated at the hospital in the past one month or so. During the same period last year, only 57 patients had visited the hospital. Hospital sources reported the death of three patients this year due to delay in reaching the health facility. 	Nepal: Joint Military Exercise for Disaster Response
	Kathmandu: With a view to respond to disaster, a joint exercise between Nepal Army and US Army Pacific Command kicked off on September 9 Monday in Kathmandu.According to the NA Directorate of Public Relations, the joint exercise will be conducted for 3 days and involve rescue and relief of the huge number of victims in the event of disasters like earthquake, floods and landslides.
