India: Ziqitza Healthcare Wins CIMS Healthcare Excellence Awards 2016


Mumbai: India\'s leading emergency medical services provider Ziqitza Healthcare Ltd (HZL) recently bagged 2 awards at the CIMS Healthcare Excellence Awards 2016. The ambulance service provider won in the \'Best Company in Emergency Medical Services\' and the \'Best Company in providing Highest Number of FRPs\' categories. Conducting more than 10000 First Responder Programs (FRPs) in Punjab alone, Ziqitza managed to reach out to maximum people across the country through their extensive FRPs.

India: National Ambulance Code in the making: Nadda


A code giving specifications for ambulances are being prepared and the process of consultations is currently on, government said. During the Question Hour in Rajya Sabha, Health Minister J P Nadda said that on March 23, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has issued a draft notification seeking comments regarding implementation of the National Ambulance Code with effect from April 1, 2017.

India: Trauma Care Unit is Ortho Ward at Civil Hospital at Nashik Civil Hospital


Nashik: A road accident victim has no room for treatment at the Nashik Civil Hospital as the unit has been converted into an orthopaedic ward.\r\nAll accident victims taken to the civil hospital are treated at the emergency ward. The problem now is that victims of fall, poisoning, burns, drowning and assault are also treated there.

India: Emergency Med Rooms needed at 30 More Railway Stations


Mumbai: The panel had also recommended more ambulances at railway stations. At present there are ambulances at 25 stations on CR. The committee also told the railways to consider tie-ups with private hospitals near stations to make available emergency treatment to accident victims.

India: DelhiĄ¯s Trauma Service Project Gets Maharastra Aid


Pune: The Centralised Accident and Trauma Services (CATS) project was dwindling when they approached the Maharashtra\'s Emergency Medical Services (MEMS). With manpower shortage, struggle in staff retention, technical challenges and ambulance maintenance, the project seemed to be headed nowhere. However, things changed drastically with MEMS stepping in, to train Delhi\'s emergency staff and providing them with technical assistance.
