India: Trauma Centres to Come up at Major Airports


Kolkata: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is planning to build trauma centres at all major airports in the country, including Kolkata, in order to facilitate early emergency medical intervention for critical patients coming into these cities for specialised treatment.    “In emergency medical situations, response time is critical in patients' chances of survival. India: At Stanley, all Crisis Care soon to be Under One Roof


Chennai: A new multi-storey block at Government Stanley Hospital will house all emergency and trauma care facilities under one roof, making it the hospital’s crisis centre. Work on the 6-storey building is nearing completion, and the Public Works Department (PWD) will hand it over to the hospital by the end of this month, officials said. “The hospital caters to a large population in north Chennai. India: Ambulance on Jaipur NH Soon Just a Phone Call Away


New Delhi: If you spot an accident or meet with one on Delhi-Jaipur highway, you just need to call 1033 to get an ambulance. The service scheduled to start in the next fortnight will be managed by a call centre which will be linked to 11 life support ambulances on this 260-km stretch. India: Health Department to Launch Toll-Free Helpline


Mangalore: With an intention to help the patients in rural areas, the health department will introduce toll-free helpline 104 which can be accessed by people across the State, from next week, Health Minister U T Khader announced on June 7 Friday.  Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of a programme in Ullal, the Minister said the helpline serves three purposes viz., to deliver information to people about the location of the nearby hospitals, suggest medicines for particular disease in case of emergencies and receive public complaints about hospitals and the health department. Guwahati: The spiraling traffic violations and accidents on the streets of Guwahati have cost many human lives and traffic police are constantly trying to update themselves to deal with modern-day challenges.
