Pakistan: Punjab Gov. Selects Naz for Tamgha-e-Imtiaz


Islamabad: President Fire & Safety Association of Pakistan, Ghulam Muhammad Naz, has been selected for Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for his valuable services in fire and rescue. He struggled so much for uplifting of emergency services in Pakistan. The government of Punjab has selected him for National Award "Tamgha-e-Imtiaz" for his valuable services. The Director General Rescue 1122 Dr RizwanNaseer congratulated Ghulam Muhammad Naz for his success. The directors and members of Fire & Safety Association of Pakistan also congratulated Baba Naz and presented bouquet for his achievement.

Pakistan: Red Crescent Arranges Training for Members


Karachi: Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Sindh organised a 2-day casualty handling training attended by 31 members of their Emergency Response Team (ERT), the training was facilitated by Federal Civil Defence School. Speaking at the occasion, Instructor of Federal Civil Defence School Arif Moen told that the course covered risk assessment, methods of causality handling, basic firefighting, bomb reconnaissance and ambulance loading, etc. The training was the part of the PRCS-Sindh and German Red Cross (GRC) long term Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) programme which is being implemented in Theta, Badin, Dadu and Karachi. Pakistan: KP Govt Declares Ddengue Emergency in 5 Districts


Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government on August 28 Wednesday declared emergency in the hospitals of five districts, including Dir, Malakand, Swabi, Buner and Shangla as one person was detected with dengue in Swabi district. According to details, the patient was shifted to Islamabad Hospital where his condition is said to be stable. Pakistan: Imran Announces Rs 1 billion for Emergency Services at KP Hospitals


Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Wednesday announced Rs 1 billion special initiative package for free emergency services at all the public sector hospitals in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and pledged to make the health sector in the province a model for the rest of the country. Pakistan: Punjab to Install CT Scan, MRI Machines in HFH


Rawalpindi: Secretary Health Punjab Hassan Iqbal Malik on September 5 Thursday said that Punjab government would install CT scan and MRI machines in the Holy Family Hospital (HFH) to benefit thousands of patients from Rawalpindi and other districts and cities of the province. "The government would also end the shortage of life saving drugs in the emergency departments of the Allied Hospitals (AHs) and recruit more medical officers through Punjab Public Service Commission in hospitals," he added.
