India: 1,000 Ambulances for Women, Infants


Lucknow: The state cabinet on June 27 Thursday cleared the proposal to start 102 ambulance service for pregnant women, newborns and new mothers. Under the service, a fleet of 1000 ambulances will be made available for women and newborns in times of need. The ambulances would be stationed at the block level and can be availed through a centralised toll free number 102. Srinagar, June 27: Minister of State for Health (independent charge) Shabir Khan said the money was sanctioned by the Union Health Ministry led by Ghulam Nabi Azad. “We had sent a detailed proposal for setting up proper infrastructure to be used for ensuring health check-up of yatris,” the Minister said. India: Special Ambulance Service for Hilly Areas in the state of Tamil Nadu


Chennai: Within 6 months Tamil Nadu will have one-of-its-kind four-wheel drive ambulances, specially designed for the hilly areas of the State. The decision to procure smaller, four-wheel drive vehicles in the 108 ambulance service was taken to facilitate quicker rescue of patients from inaccessible areas and rough terrains. A total of 78 four-wheel drive ambulances are to be procured. India: Odisha CM Launches 108 Emergency Ambulance Service in Angul


Angul: Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik launched 108 Emergency Service ambulance under the Oidsha Emergency Medical Ambulance Service (OEMAS) Project in Angul. Anugul will be getting 10 nos of 108 emergency ambulance.  Mr. Pattnaik laid foundation stone for the construction of a special 100 bedded Mother and Child Health Centre in District hospital in Angul.  This emergency ambulance service was launched in Angul in collaboration with  Mumbai based Ziqitza Health Care Ltd. Till date this service is available in 10 districts like; Khurda, Koraput, Ganjam, Cuttack , Jajpur , Puri, Rayagada, Dhenkanal and Bhadrak.

India: Odisha CM Launches 108 Emergency Ambulance Service in Mayurbhanj and Balasore


Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik today launched 108 Emergency Service ambulance under the Oidsha Emergency Medical Ambulance Service (OEMAS) Project in Mayurbhanj and Balasore.  Mayurbhanj will be getting 20 nos of 108 emergency ambulances and Balasore will get 19 nos of Ambulances.  Mr. Pattnaik also introduced a new initiative called Odisha Girls Incentive Programme (OGIP) and launched OGIP  website in Mayurbhanja.
