	Qatar: Two Firefighting Boats to be Launched by Year-End, CBSD Plan for Sea Ambulance
	Two firefighting boats, which are being locally manufactured at the Coasts and Borders Security Department (CBSD) shipyard, are expected to be launched by the end of this year. The new additions will boost the capabilities of CBSD in dealing with fires at sea, in particular in traditional dhows made of wood. The new vessels will enable CBSD personnel to limit the spread of any potential fire at sea. Such jobs are currently handled by the Civil Defence Department. The CBSD also plans to operate sea ambulances in the near future.

	Doha: The Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani inaugurated the Ras Laffan Emergency and Safety College (RLESC), a premier emergency and safety training academy designed to provide advanced training to fire fighters and emergency responders, in Ras Laffan yesterday. The training partner and provider of Emergency Training at RLESC is Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX). 	Qatar: HMC Plans new Emergency Facility: Official
	Doha: Faced with huge rush and crowding at its emergency department, the Hamad Medical Corporation ( HMC ) is planning to establish a new emergency unit close to the existing facility, a seniorHMC official has said. HMC’s emergency unit alone received 465,000 visitors last year, against 493,000 visitors seen by the other HMC facilities. 	Qatar: PHCs to Provide Emergency Services by End of This Year
	In a major attempt to stabilise the heavy rush at Hamad Medical Corporation’s Emergency Department, the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) will be introducing emergency care services at the various health centres by end of this year.
