	Motorcycle Travellers Meet (MTM) is hosting a WMI-NOLS taught first aid course in Bangalore from March 26 to 28, 2016. MTM has collaborated with Wilderness Medicine Institute to introduce a first-aid program for motorcycle travellers. The Wilderness Medical Institute (WMI) is a subsidiary of National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) US.This Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course aims to keep one educated about medical emergencies.

	India: Soon, Two-wheeler Ambulances will zoom to Help You on Roadsin Mumbai as well
	The state health department has decided to launch two-wheeler ambulance service in Mumbai. This will be an augmentation of the services already being rendered by the 108 emergency ambulances. According to officials, Mumbaikars will be able to avail the two-wheeler service within four months. The department also plans to launch this service in rural areas of the state which are not easily accessible by 108 four-wheeler ambulances.

	India: Jharkhand Govt to Roll Out 24X7 Free Ambulance Service
	Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur, March 10: The Government of Jharkhand is set to launch the Jharkhand Emergency Medical Ambulance Service (JEMAS), a comprehensive pre-hospital emergency medical service with the introduction of a fleet of ambulances to cover the entire state in a phased manner.\r\nThe emergency ambulance service will be launched in Ranchi and is likely to roll out by June 2016. With an aim of providing emergency ambulance service free of cost to the people of Jharkhand, JEMAS will ensure delivery of quality emergency care across the chain of services with proper emergency management system.

	India: Emergency Care Responders on Bike Chennai
	Chennai: Global Health City on Friday (18 March) launched an ‘emergency care responder’, a 2-wheeler ambulance to cater to the emergency medical needs of people in remote areas. These vehicles will be able to reach places that 4-wheeler ambulances may not be able to access. The 2-wheeler ambulance was launched by Hemraj Parmar, COO, and Global Health City.

	India: SGPGI, Lucknow to Train People in Handling Heart Attack
	Lucknow: People would be able to learn expert method to handle emergency situations when a person suffers heart attacks. SGPGI has chalked out a 3-day course in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) -- the emergency management needed to save a person who suffers heart attack. Initially, the course would be for doctors, nurses and paramedical staff, but later a module would be prepared for general public as well. The course would be moderated by department of anaesthesiology which conducted a workshop with SGPGI doctors and nurses.
