Indonesia: Bupati Bengkalis Hands over 5 Ambulance to Rupat Villages


Riauterkini-bengkalis: Regent Bengkalis Herliyan Saleh handed over 5 ambulances to Rupat villages in the district. Ambulance handover is part of development programs in the health field Bengkalis. Ambulance is submitted directly to the respective village head (Kades) Darulaman Amrizal, Sukarjomesim Kasiren Kadesh, Kadesh Pangkalannyirih, Hasan Basri, Kadesh Sungaicingam Azman.  The delivery is done in the Village Batupanjang, District Rupat on February 10 Monday.

Indonesia: Indonesian Government Improves Disaster Management Participation


Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Indonesia (KOMINFO) and Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) will launch a 3-digit emergency phone line and 4-digit SMS gateway to make it easier for the public to contact the authorities. Both agencies aim to enhance citizen participation in disaster management and preparedness through this move, announced KOMINFO last month. According to Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, Head of Data, Information and Public Relations at BNPB, the previous 6-digit phone number is not easy for the public to remember.

Indonesia: Indonesian Government Launches Emergency Media Centre


Indonesian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (KOMINFO) and National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) have launched a Media Centre to spread information for better disaster management. According to KOMINFO’s Public Media Directorate, Head of Online Media, Hyppo Service, the Centre serves 2 functions. Moreover, the Centre will serve as an emergency response media centre for any nearby disasters. KOMINFO has built such centres in 170 points across the country.
