	Fearing the threat of blackmail, passers-by were somewhat hesitant to help an elderly man who suddenly collapsed while crossing a street in Zhengzhou over the weekend. Only after snapping some pictures for evidence did they feel comfortable enough to venture over and check if he was alright.\r\nWitnesses said that the man was rushing across the street and suddenly fell down. 	China: Overcrowded Hospitals Drop Plan to Allow Nurses to Provide Repeat Prescriptions to Hong Kong Patients
	The overcrowded public hospitals have dropped the idea of asking nurses to prescribe medicine to stable patients due to the objection of its medical staff, said the Hospital Authority’s director on Thursday (17 March).\r\nIt comes as the burden of the understaffed body eased slightly this week, with the number of attendants at the Accident and Emergency Unit dropping to the normal level of around 5,400 per day – compared with a peak of more than 7,000 in the past few weeks.

	China: Beijing to Charge Ambulance Use by Distance
	The Beijing municipal government has decided to charge ambulance use in the city by distance, based on a fare system similar to that used by taxis. The new measure will take effect on May 1st, and it will also apply to ambulances called by both 120 and 999 hotlines.\r\nPreviously, empty legs of ambulance trips were also charged, but under the new regulation, the patients will only have to pay for the portions that they are on board the vehicles. According to the Beijing Emergency Medical Center, all ambulances of the Center have installed fare calculators.
