	NGO Save Life Foundation 15 December urged the government to pass the Good Samaritan law to create a legal atmosphere for bystanders and passers-by to come to the aid of injured persons during accidents.\r\nAccording to several surveys three out of four people in India are unlikely to step forward to help an injured person on the road.\r\nAlso Delhi residents are most unlikely to step forward to help an injured person.

	Nashik: If things go on the expected lines, the important numbers of the police will soon be seen on all the hoardings put up across the city for the convenience of the citizens in the times of distress.\r\nThe city police have appealed to the advertisers to display the important numbers of the police, including the local police station in the area below the advertisement on the hoardings, so that the citizens in distress can immediately contact the police without having to go to the trouble of searching the phone numbers.

	Bangalore: The operation of emergency service vehicles in and around Bengaluru is all set to be smoother, thanks to tech-savvy traffic police. With a view to facilitate the swift movement of ambulances and fire brigade vehicles, the state government will synchronise traffic signals at several busy junctions of the city with the siren sound of these vehicles. \r\nWhen the vehicles, fitted with the siren synchronisation technology, approach the designated junctions, the traffic signals open to give right of way to the ambulances and fire service vehicles, facilitating their uninterrupted movement.

	India: Magh Mela: 9 Temporary Hospitals for Pilgrims
	Allahabad: This year time 9 temporary hospitals and 12 first aid posts will be constructed at Magh Mela area by health department to provide medical help to lakhs of kalpwasis and seers camping for a month. Special arrangements will also be made to deliver babies at the health centres. \r\nFor the first time, 108 ambulance would be provided in the mela area. As per department officials, 50 beds have also been reserved at two hospitals of the city to meet any emergency. These included 30 at SRN hospitals and 20 at Tej Bahadur Sapru (Beli) hospital. To help the victims of emergency cases, special kits have been demanded.
