India: Training on Pre-Hospital Trauma Care


Trichy: A training programme on 'pre-hospital trauma care' was conducted for the police personnel in Trichy by the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Trichy chapter, on January 24 Friday evening. The objective of the training was to educate cops about first-aid methods while helping accident victims to reach hospital within the golden hour. India: State Launches Ambulance Service


Nagpur: Guardian minister of Nagpur Shivajirao Moghe launched the Medical Emergency Medical Services (MEMS) 24x7 ambulance during the official Republic Day function at Kasturchand Park on Sunday. The ambulance service can be availed by any citizen by calling 108, a toll free number. For Nagpur district, 30 such ambulances are being made available in the first phase of the project which has been launched in seven districts of the state. India: Low Cost Mannequins to up First Aid Prep


  In a move that could boost first aid training in the country, IIT Madras has developed a low cost indigenous mannequin prototype, the first of its kind to be developed in India.
