	Philippines: Army to get 23 Humvee Ambulances
	Manila: The Philippine Army will receive 23 M1152 Humvee ambulances on 26 January to address the immediate medical needs of wounded troops on the battlefield prior to their transfer to medical facilities.\r\nA total of 30 Humvee ambulances were procured under the Philippine Defense Reform Program to enhance the Forward Health Service Support System of the Philippine Army. The remaining seven units are expected to be delivered next month.

	Lingayen, Pangasinan: The provincial government here will soon acquire vehicles to enhance Pangasinan\'s emergency response-system.\r\nThe Sangguniang Panlalawigan authorized Governor Amado Espino, Jr. to purchase three brand new vehicles to be utilized for search, rescue and response operations of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) - Water Search and Rescue (WASAR).

	Philippines: Capiz emergency responders to undergo training
	Roxas City, Capiz: Emergency responders from Capiz will undergo a training for trainers on basic life support. Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Esperedion Pelaez disclosed that the Department of Health-Central Office will be holding a trainers’ training on Basic Life Support for selected members of the Capiz Emergency Response Team, PDRRMO staff, and personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard and DOH-Capiz. He said that a total of 25 personnel will be participating in said training which is set on March 9 to 13 here.

	Philippines: 2 City-Owned Hospitals Get New Ambulances
	The Lapu-Lapu City Government turned over an ambulance each to 2 City-owned hospitals on April 14. The City spent around P1.8 million for the two Mitsubishi L300 vehicles, which will be used by the City Hospital in the mainland and the Sta. Rosa Community Hospital in Olango Island.Dr. Bolivar Miñoza, head of the City Hospital, said that they had to rely on the fire department and private organizations to transport patients. “Our existing ambulance, which is 10 years old, is no longer in running condition.
