Philippines: Nueva Vizcaya Disaster Body Push for Skills Trainings


Bayombong: A series of skills trainings which can be used by volunteers during disasters and calamities have been proposed here by the officials of the Provincial Disaster Risk Management Reduction Council (PDRRMC) to empower Novo Vizcayanos in mitigating the effects of climate change. Philippines: 28 EMTs Practising in PHL Now Certified as World-Class EMS Instructors


Twenty-Eight practising Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) have been certified as world-class Emergency Medical Services (EMS) instructors on February 20 at the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Women’s Center in Taguig City. The first International Instructors Development Course in the country for EMTs was conducted by the Australasian Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (AREMT), in partnership with the Technical Vocational Schools and Associations of the Philippines (T).

Philippines: Run for Life 2 to Fund Emergency Medical Service Missions


Baguio City: Runners from all over the city including enthusiasts from nearby places are expected to participate in this year’s “Run for Life 2” hosted by the Baguio City Emergency Medical Service (BCEMS) at the Burnham Park, Lake Drive which fires off on April 6. Celebrating its 17th year of service, BCEMS spearheads a fund raising running event to back its medical and dental mission services this coming May in Tabaan Sur, Tuba, Benguet and Irisan, Baguio City. Some 300 running participants are projected to join the event headed by Dr John Tinoyan organized by the Cool City Running Team.
