Bangkok: AC Aviation, a private jet firm linked to Thai politician AnutinCharnvirakul, is expanding its core medical evacuation operations with a VIP charter business. In supporting the new strategy, the firm recently acquired a Hawker 850XP, a mid-sized twin-engine corporate jet, while preparing a marketing scheme that includes a rebranding as Bangkokjets. Thailand: Emergency Department Issues Weather Alert for Phuket, Krabi, Phang Nga, Trang and Ranong


Phuket: The chief of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation has issued an emergency warning for Phuket and other Andaman provinces for the next 4 days.  The letter to authorities in Phuket, Phang Nga, Ranong, Krabi and Trang warns of the potential for flooding and landslips and orders DDPM staff to go on 24-hour alert.  The forecast for Phuket and the region from the Phuket-based Southern Meteorological Centre (West Coast) remained unchanged on May 20 night.

Thailand: DDPM Getting Ready to Respond to Emergency Situations as Adverse Weather Conditions Prevail

Thailand: Hotline Help for Elderly, Disabled


Bangkok: The National Institute for Emergency Medicine on June 18 Tuesday signed an agreement with the Universal Foundation for Persons with Disabilities (UFPD) and TOT Plc to develop an emergency call system for the elderly and disabled. The UFPD operates Thai Telecommunication Relay Service (TTRS), a network that enables hearing- and vision-impaired people to communicate through interpreters, who then pass on voice or text messages to recipients.
