United Arab Emirates: National Ambulance Expands Service to Sharjah


Sharjah: Sharjah Police have decided to introduce the service in line with the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to ensure customer satisfaction. The police signed an agreement on October 30Wednesday with National Ambulance company representatives to finalise the draft agreement. United Arab Emirates: Abu Dhabi Schools on Rain Alert: Adec Steps Up to Protect Students


The Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec) has developed an integrated emergency plan for schools to implement in case of heavy rain. According to the plan, rain and wet conditions increase hazards associated with slipping and tripping, braking distances of vehicles, and the potential for slippage and handling difficulties for tools and heavy equipment. Rain fills holes and increases the risk of electrical shock when working with electrical equipment.

United Arab Emirates: Heart Defibrillators to be Installed at Public Places in UAE


Abu Dhabi: Emergency heart defibrillators will be installed at popular public places across the country with the first being located at the capital’s Marina Mall, the Ministry of Interior announced on November 27 Wednesday. The second device will be placed in Dubai’s Burj Khalifa and employees at both outlets will receive training on how to operate the resuscitation device in case of emergencies.When used properly, defibrillators provide a sudden electric shock to the heart, jolting it back to pump blood around the body and, critically, to the brain

Dubai: Crowds cheered as a procession featuring the emergency services, businesses and community groups made its way through Downtown Dubai. Dubai Police officers on horseback marched in formation at the head of the parade, holding the flag, followed by various police and Civil Defence vehicles.

United Arab Emirates: Project to Aid Decision Making and Emergency Response


Abu Dhabi: Over the next few years, a detailed 3-dimensional model of buildings and structures across the emirate of Abu Dhabi will be created to ease emergency responses and enhance public safety, the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City announced in a statement on December 08 Sunday. The model also aims to help in the management of plots across the emirate, and the internal database created will be shared with other relevant government entities.
