Hilal-e-Ahmer Ambulance Service Launched

Islamabad: President Mamnoon Hussain on May 13 Tuesday launched the Hilal-e-Ahmer Emergency Ambulance Service 1030 for Islamabad. The service will work round-the-clock, with a response time of 7 to 10 minutes.

A brainchild of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), the initiative has been taken in view of lack of proper ambulatory service in the capital.

Speaking on the occasion, President Mamnoon said, the service will prove as a milestone, not only for the organisation but also for Islamabad. The ambulance fleet initially consists of 12 ambulances, 6 of which have been deputed at different locations while 6 will remain standby at the PRCS National Headquarters.
