24 Hours Emergency Medical Service Begins at Dist. Hospital


Ujjain: As per the directives issued by State Government, 24 hours emergency medical service was kicked off at district hospital from Thursday. Patients will have benefits of this service as the service remained available only for 19 hours earlier. Emergency medical service is made available for patients for 24 hours at district hospital from May 1 on the directives of State government. Outdoor will remain open for 24 hours and medical treatment will be provided to patients in emergency.

The service had been in effect in district hospitals across the State since 1992. After the order was issued by State government, Civil Surgeon CD Sharma ensured for opening emergency services for 24 hours. Dr GS Dhawas was deployed at Emergency ward. Three MLCs and two critically ill patients were given treatment in emergency ward. Patients suffering from accident will be provided quick treatment in emergency.
