Abra PDRRMC Buckles Up for Disaster Preparedness

Bangued, Abra: The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Council (PDRRMC) is now preparing all available equipment and manpower to be ready for emergency response especially during the typhoon season. Governor Eustaquio PBersamin last week gave the go-signal for the repair of one ambulance and the mobile clinic for exclusive use by the council especially in times of disasters. The upland areas of the province are prone to vehicular accidents.

Emergency responders are likewise organized and trained. Ms April Rose Bernal, member of the Health Emergency Management Staff (HEMS) of the Provincial Health Office said they have already trained more than 50 Emergency Responders in the Abra Provincial Hospital (APH) and in various municipalities like Bangued, San Quintin, Manabo, La Paz, Tayum and Lagangilang.
