Hallanai: A 3-day training programme of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) concluded in Mohmand Agency on March16 Sunday with guests distributing certificates among facilitators and participants. The training had volunteers from Mohmand, Orakzai and North Waziristan agencies and was organised by PRCS with the support of Naval Headquarters at Hotel Grand, Peshawar, to train people how to better prepare, mitigate and respond during disasters.
“This training for tribesmen will help us respond effectively in natural and manmade disasters or emergencies,” said Shehryar Khan, manager of PRCS FATA Disaster Management.
During the training, different modules related to disaster response were delivered through practical and participatory exercises in the provincial capital. On the last day, participants were taken to Shahid Banda village of Pandialay tehsil, Mohmand Agency where they carried out field-work exercises. |
