Trichy: A training programme on 'pre-hospital trauma care' was conducted for the police personnel in Trichy by the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Trichy chapter, on January 24 Friday evening. The objective of the training was to educate cops about first-aid methods while helping accident victims to reach hospital within the golden hour.
Shailesh Kumar Yadav, commissioner of police (CoP), after inaugurating the training, slammedthe rash drivers, who posed a threat to people on road, especially pedestrians. "Road traffic accidents are a major issue. Lives of road-users are always uncertain as many do not adhere to traffic rules. Vehicles are drove in uncivilised manner and many a times, pedestrians are at the receiving end," he said |
