NIDM Imparts Disaster Risk Management to 26 Officials of Most Vulnerable Districts


Islamabad: A total of 26 officials hailing from most vulnerable districts of the county were imparted 4 days training course on disaster risk management at National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM). The course was organized by the National Disaster Management Authority from January 6 to 9. The series of training courses have been planned to build the capacity of government officials.  The training module consisted of lectures, group exercises and interactive discussion. 

The purpose of the training was to provide disaster risk management knowledge and develop skills of government officers and civil society members, who have key disaster risk management responsibilities at the federal/provincial/district level, said a press release.
