Davao City 911 Cited for Saving Lives in Deadly Fire


 

Davao city: The city government recognized the gallantry and dedication of the members of the Emergency Response Center Central 911 for saving the lives of fire victims last Saturday dawn, September 7 in Kilometer 7, Lanang in a simple rite at the city hall grounds September 9 afternoon.

Emmanuel Jaldon, chief of the Emergency Central 911 said the joint rescue effort was made by the personnel of the Fire Auxiliary Service, Urban Search and Rescue, and the Emergency Medical Service.

He lauded the well-coordinated effort which saved seven out of eight lives from suffocation.“The team was able to extricate eight victims who were at the verge of suffocation.  Out of the eight seven were saved while the other unluckily did not make it,” Jaldon said.
