Gangtok: Road accident is one of the leading causes of death, and road accident victims stand a greater chance of survival and reduction in the severity of injuries if effective First Aid and Medical Assistance are delivered in the Golden Hour. Hence, the Trauma Care Division of Health Care, Human Services & Family Welfare Department in collaboration with Road Safety cell of the Transport Department provided training on First Aid and Medical Assistance to doctors and paramedics of all Hospitals in the state and to the staff of the Transport Department including bus drivers and conductors from 19th February 2018 to 8th March 2018. |
