Abu Dhabi: Just a week after its launch, the National Ambulance 998 mobile application was used successfully for the first time in response to an emergency medical situation in the northern emirates. A passer-by used the app to contact the National Ambulance, which immediately dispatched a crew to the scene using the GPS locator integrated within the app via the witness’ smartphone. \r\nThe team treated a man for trauma at the site before transporting him to the emirate’s Al Dhaid Hospital. |
