Taipei: A new rule requiring medical rescue teams to arrive at accident scenes at amusement parks within four to six minutes will come into force Nov. 15, according to the Ministry of Transportation and Communications. \r\nThe rule, which aims to ensure sufficient medical resources and prevent heavier casualties in future catastrophes, was introduced in the wake of an explosion at the Formosa Fun Coast (八仙樂園) water park earlier this year, when the amusement park operators were heavily criticized for their disorganized rescue measures. |
