KEMP Holds Emergency Care Training

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Emergency Medical Project (KEMP), which is managing the ‘108’ Ambulance Service in Thiruvananthapuram and Alappuzha, conducted an ‘Emergency Medical Care’ training for medical officers and nurses from various government hospitals in Thiruvananthapuram at the KEMP office in Technopark.

A team led by Dr Ajai Desai from Life Supporters Institutions of Health Sciences (LIHS), Mumbai, trained the participants in Emergency Medical Care. As many as 29 medical officers and 14 staff nurses participated in the 2-day sessions in two batches.  Hands-on training was held with lecture sessions.

"The training will prove helpful in building the capacity of the participants. KEMP is providing an excellent facility and delightful ambiance for the programme. More such training needs to be conducted," said Dr Rajeevan, assistant director of Health Services, who inaugurated the session.
