Trauma-care Classes for Police in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: The City police have joined hands with the Ananthapuri Hospitals and Research Institute here to impart trauma life support training to its personnel.

\r\n
The programme, launched by ADGP Rishi Raj Singh, Chief Vigilance Officer (KSEB), will have the personnel of the City police being divided into batches of 40 persons and being trained within a year in life support techniques in emergency situations. The programme, in fact, is a revival of a similar training initiative that was launched when Mr. Singh was the Transport Commissioner. Mr. Singh said many accident deaths could be avoided if the victims were extended the right first aid and taken to hospital fast.
