Mumbai: Ambulances are called upon frequently to attend to pregnant women, new-borns, trauma patients and the immunocompromised. As a fundamental part of a basic healthcare delivery, ambulances must concern themselves with sanitation and hygiene as much as any hospital or health centre. \r\n Without hygienic conditions, the ill or injured are left vulnerable to further infection or sepsis. In keeping with the standards of any world class ambulance service, Ziqitza Health Care Limited has launched the Ambulance Cleanliness Initiative for its vehicles and crew. \r\n “If our goal is world-class emergency medical services and not just a vehicle to transport from one spot to another, then protecting our patients requires a hygiene level comparable to any hospital,” says Sweta Mangal, CEO.
